S. MARY, LYMINSTER, SUSSEX, — This little church is undergoing a judicious restoration by Mr. George Truefitt. The plan consists of an unusually long chancel, a nave, a north aisle, and a western tower. At the east end of the aisle there is a mortuary chapel which will now be used as a vestry. At the opposite end there has hitherto been a place screened off for a vestry, which will now be thrown into the area of the church. The new open seats will accommodate 283, being 64 more than can be seated in the existing pews and gallery. The porch occupies the rather unusual position of being nearer the east than the west end of the north aisle. The font is close to it. The new windows, seats, and detail generally, are of the simplest possible character. [Ecclesiologist Vol 22 Page 183]
