ST. MATTHIAS' SCHOOL CHURCH. The new church, in Saville Street,, Chorlton-upon-Medlock, was opened for public worship on Sunday.  The building has been built for the benefit of the poor of All Saints' Parish, in the part known as Little Ireland. Its erection is due to the liberality of Mr. Hugh Birley and of Mr. Herbert Birley. Under the church is school 67 feet long by feet wide, with a class-room 27 feet by 12 feet, and playground. The church will accommodate about 300 people. The architect is Mr J. Medland Taylor, of St. Ann's Churchyard, Manchester.
