Steel Girder Bridge over the River Conway at Maenan

The Conway and Colwyn Bay Joint Water Supply Board have accepted the tender of Messrs J. Byrom, Limited, of Bury, Lancashire, at £2,750, for a steel girder bridge over the River Conway at Maenan, and midway between Llanwrst and Tal‑y‑Cafn. to carry a new water‑main, and the tender of Mr B. Lumb. at ,2.893. for the supply of the 15‑inch cast iron pipes required for the crossing. The engineer is Mr. C. F. Farrington, MICE., of Trinity Square. Llandudno, who succeeded to the appointment a few months since on the death of his father, Mr. T. B. Farrington.
