Suburban Housing

SECULAR WORKS. - We have seen some able designs by Mr. Truefitt for various suburban houses. Without any pretensions to architectural style, they are very sensible, and very truthful, in planning and construction. One of these is in Tufnell Park, Holloway, to be built for about£1000; another at Wimbledon, which will cost £1400. The architect has built for himself a cottage at Worthing, which is a marvel of cheapness and of convenience, without pretension. [Ecclesiologist New Series Vol XXII 1864 page 181]
