Sunday School, Bethesda Congregational Church, Burnley

The church was built in 1878, replacing an older building of 1814. In 1893, this Sunday School was built on the site of the 1814 church. Barrett’s Directory of 1896 described it as a stone building in the Italian Renaissance style, consisting of 20 classrooms to accommodate 800 scholars, a superintendent’s room and a library.
