Swiss Villas, Townsfield, Silverdale

This pair of semi-detached houses was featured in an article by T Raffles Davison on Silverdale in The British Architect. They were commissioned c1884 by Henry Boddington of Cove Hall, Silverdale, to accommodate builders working on the Church and subsequently other staff employed by the Boddingtons. They are situated on the road called Townsfield and have now been converted into one house. [RF]
