NEW CHAPEL AT BUCKLEY – The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new Primitive Methodist Chapel at Buckley took place on Monday. The site of the building is on the west side of the road leading to Padeswood railway station, and the edifice will accommodate 700 persons. The cost is estimated at £2,000, which is in course of collection by voluntary subscription. The builders Messrs J. and T. Woods, of Hooton and the architect is Mr Richard Owens, Breck-road. NEW PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHAPEL. On Monday, the foundation stone of a new Primitive Methodist Chapel at Buckley was laid, by Mr Alexander Balfour, of Mount Alyn, in the presence of a large number of people. The site of the building is on the west side of the road leading to Padeswood railway-station. The edifice will be of brick with Stourton stone facings. The front elevation comprises a central facade, finished with an abutment and large cornice, and two wings, with plinth, balustrading, and copings. The interior will contain pewed galleries on three sides the fourth side having also a gallery for the organ and choir. The, ceiling will be a prominent feature, consisting of 16 panels, with shafts deeply grooved and moulded, relieved with perforated apertures and ornamented centrepieces. The style throughout will be Romanesque, freely treated. There will be sitting accommodation tor 700 persons. Thera will be also four large class. rooms and vestry. The cost is estimated at £2,000, which is in course of collection by voluntary subscription. The builders are Messrs. J. and H. T.
