THE FIRE AT NELSON MILL - We are requested to state that after the fire at Messrs Lord, Hampson and Son, Nelson Mills, the temporary roof, drop dry, was completed in 84 hours. The roof was twelve times as large as that erected for the engine-shed at Grecian Mill which was reported on Monday as having been completed in 36 hours. The weather too was all against the contractors, Messrs J and J H Marsden. Messrs Woodhouse and Morley were the architects. [Bolton Evening News 10 December 1890 page 3]
