The Royal Court Theatre, Oldham was built in 1892 but was destroyed by fire in 1906. It was subsequently rebuilt to the designs of the architect H A Turner, and reopened in 1907. The Theatre closed in 1960 and was demolished in 1966.
PROPOSED NEW THEATRE, OLDHAM.—It is proposed to erect a new theatre in this town at a cost of about £20,000. Mr. H. A. Turner, of Manchester, is preparing the plans for the building, which is to give accommodation for over 3,000 people. [Builder 26 October 1907 page 449]
