Originally the home farm, enlarged 1896 by Pattinson for Sir James Scott of Bolton and enlarged further by Dolman in a contrasting neo-Georgian style. Pevsner gives the date as 1906, i.e. before the death of Dan Gibson, giving support to the possibility that Dolman commenced independent practice on his own account in 1905.
