Built at the junction of Manchester Road and Pennington Street, on a site opposite the present Blantyre Avenue and opened in 1885 being part of the Regent Road Methodist circuit. Demolished in the late 1960s after serving as a temporary library while Walkden Library was under construction. A separate block at the rear in similar style housed the Sunday school.
