Union Club, St Petersgate, Stockport
STOCKPORT - A new non-political club is to be erected at Stockport in St. Peter's gate, and it is to be known as the Union Club. A limited competition has been held, and the design submitted by Mr. G. H. Willoughby, architect, has been chosen for erection. The style of architecture id Queen Anne, and the estimated cost is £10,000. The building will provide accommodation comprising billiard room, to hold two tables, and lighted from the top by lantern lights, 30 feet 6in. square; club room 50 feet by 21 feet 6in. with an open timber roof; dining- room 24 feet by 17 feet 6in; with kitchen, bed rooms, butler's pantry, and caretaker's residence.
