WESLEYAN CHAPEL, ELLAND. YORKSHIRE - A new Wesleyan chapel was opened at Elland on the 4th instant by Dr. Stephenson. The chapel takes the place of the old one in Eastgate, on a larger site, the new church having a frontage to the Huddersfield-road. It is in the Renaissance style. The estimated cost is between £6,000 and £7,000. There is sitting accommodation for 750. Mr. Waddington, of Burnley, was the architect. [Builder 22 October 1892 page 325]
