Wesleyan Chapel, Hebden Bridge
On Saturday the memorial stones of a new Wesleyan chapel were laid at Hebden Bridge. The proposed building is to be erected on the site of the old structure, which was built in the year 1825. The style will be Italian, and the chapel will be built of native stone, and will cost £4,000. Messrs. C. O. Ellison, P.S.A., and Son, 62, Dale-street, Liverpool, are the architects, and Messrs. W. Ives and Sons, Shipley, the contractors for the whole of the work. [Building News 27 March 1885 page 511]
A new Wesleyan chapel at Hebden Bridge, Leeds was opened last week. Built of local stone, it is Italian in style, and seats with galleries a thousand persons. Messrs. C. O.
