Wesleyan Chapel, Trinity Road, Bootle, Liverpool
The commemorative stones of the Wesleyan new chapels were laid at Trinity Road, Bootle, on Tuesday, August 24th; and at Claughton Road, Birkenhead, on Monday, August 30th. There were three memorials to Bootle chapel, the ones installed by Mrs. Samuel Jones, Brunswick Villa; Mrs. J. Wesley Lloyd, Mount Pleasant (in memory of the late Baroh. James Evans); and Mrs. Price Bellis, Dublin Street. First donated £75; the second, £25 and the third, £50, on the stone after installation. The chapel measures 48 feet by 30 feet inside the walls, and will have a schoolroom and a house in similar vein. The expense at £1,400., Is expected to be close to 700p. already in hand. Mr. Richard Owen, Breck Road, is the designer and Messrs. J. and J. G. Jones, Everton Village, are the contractors. [Baner ac Amserau Cymru 8th September 1875 page 7]
