Wesleyan Day and Sunday School, Edgeley Stockport
On Saturday afternoon foundation stones were laid at Edgely, Stockport of Wesleyan new day and Sunday Schools. The new building will cost about £3,300. Messrs Willoughby and Woodhouse of Manchester and Stockport are the architects. [Manchester Guardian. 20 July 1885 Page 6]
On Sunday the new day and Sunday schools were opened at Edgeley, Stockport to accommodate 800 scholars. The buildings, including boundary wall and entrance gates will cost about £3,500. The architects were Messrs Willoughby and Woodhouse of Manchester and Stockport, whose design was selected in competition by the Building Committee. [Manchester Guardian 23 June 1886 Page 7].
