The youngest son of Jonathan Bolton Stott, of Urmston Hall and his wife, Alice, Adam Stott was born at Urmston in 1861, Further biographical information has yet to be found. Not until 1903 (the year of his death) does he appear in the trade directories listed as an architect.
Adam Stott died at sea, while on a voyage to Madeira, on 8 December 1903, aged 42.
