Frank Littlewood, the son of William Henry Littlewood, was born in Manchester and educated at the Hulme Grammar School, Walley Range. He attended Manchester School of Art and was articled to Mangnall and Littlewoods where he remained as assistant. Following the death of his uncle, John Littlewood, in 1901 he was taken into partnership by his father.  He became a Licentiate of the RIBA on 20 March 1911, proposed by W H Littlewood, P Caminesky, and J C Ainsworth. By 1912 the partnership appears to have effectively ended. Although Frank Littlewood is listed as an architect in the local directories, his name does not appear in the RIBA Kalendar for 1913-1914 and subsequent issues.

On 12 July 1904 at St Cuthbert Withington by the Lord Bishop of Salford, he married Dorothy Mary (Dora) daughter of William Henry Dixon of West Didsbury. By 1911 they had one son and two daughters.

No further details after 1912. Date of death not known.
