450 Houses, Poulton Road, Fleetwood

One of the most ambitious schemes ever propounded locally is shortly to be launched. An estate comprising about 35 acres of land, on the southerly side of Poulton Road, has been acquired by Messrs. Cryer and Sons. a well-known go-ahead firm of local builders, and ' lay-out ' plans have been prepared by Messrs. Mercer and Duckworth. architects, for the erection thereon of no fewer than 450 semi-detached six-roomed houses. The houses will be of good design. occupying an average site of 400 square yards, and of a type well calculated to meet present-day needs. [Fleetwood Chronicle 10 September 1926 page 4]
