Aviary and Fountain, Erindale, Frodsham
This work has recently been carried out in the garden of a country house in Cheshire and shows how interesting a feature in garden design an aviary may be made. The fountain basin and base of the aviary are of grey granite, the covered portion of the aviary, terrace walls etc. being of Darley Dale stone. The roof is of small Buttermere slates and the woodwork oak. Mr Peter Edwards of Dodleston was the builder. The stone carving was executed by Messrs Earp Hobbs and Millar of Manchester and the wood carving by Mr Sewell of Chester. The lead figures were designed and cast by the Bromsgrove Guild.
