Dinmael Methodist Chapel was built in 1826 and rebuilt in 1843. In 1868 the chapel was rebuilt again, to the design of architect Richard Owen of Liverpool, in the Romanesque style with a gable-entry plan. A chapel house was added and the chapel enlarged in about 1890, but the current chapel still dates substantially from the 1868 rebuild.[Coflien]
