Cannon Street Chambers: Manchester

NEW OFFICES FOR THE MANCHESTER & COUNTY PROPERTY COMPANY LIMITED - We publish this week a perspective of the new offices about to be built in Cannon Street for the Manchester and County Property Co Ltd. This block containing about 64 offices, caretaker's rooms etc, extends back to Greenwood-street. The front to Cannon-street is faced with Yorkshire stone to the level of first floor windows and above with stock bricks. The inner offices are lighted from areas lined with white glazed bricks and two staircases are provided for of iron by Messrs W Macfarlane & Co of Glasgow. All the passages are to be lined with white glazed tiles. On plan the whole plot is divided into three blocks and from Cannon-street to Greenwood-street is a passage 8 feet wide giving access to the staircases and ground floor offices.
