Church Lane Welsh Wesleyan Methodist Chapel and House, Harpurhey
Nearly forty years ago the Welsh Wesleyan Methodists, in North Manchester began their work in a chapel in Collyhurst Street, and since then much good work has been done. On Saturday the foundation-stones of a new church were laid in Church Lane, Moston. Theo change of locality is necessitated owing to the continued removal of so many worshippers to that part of the city, The Rev. J. Felix presided, and was supported by the Revs. Daniel Williams, J. H. Doddrell and George Hopper. The new church when completed will accommodate 240 persons. The style is Gothic with terra- cotta facings. The following laid stones: F. Cawley, M.P., Mr. J. E. Lister, Mr. and Mrs. W. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. W. Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Francis, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. John Felix, Mr. and Mrs. David Rees, Miss Evans, and Messrs. D. and J. Jones.
