Congregational Chapel and School Walter Road Swansea

Tenders were obtained, the lowest being that submitted by Jones and Son of Gloucester, in the sum of £5,695. However, the scheme was held in abeyance for some time due to lack of sufficient funds. Attempts were made to resurrect the scheme, the tenderer visiting H J Paull in Manchester and visiting Swansea before being informed that the committee had placed the work in the hands of a local builder.  The contractor successfully claimed for the costs of preparing the tender etc.
