A new Congregational Mission Hall is in course of erection in Tatton Street, Hulme, Manchester. The new building is three storeys in height. The basement consists of a large infants’ classroom capable of holding from 200 to 250 scholars, a tea-room and a large boiler house. The ground floor is occupied with a large preaching room, mothers’ meeting room, offices etc., and the upper floor is devoted entirely to Sunday School purposes, and is made to accommodate 500 scholars. The architects are Messrs Mangnall & Littlewoods and the contractors Peace and Norquoy.[British Architect 12 June 1885 Page 288]

Memorial stones were laid on Saturday in connection with a Congregational Mission Hull in course of erection in Tatton Street, Hulme, Manchester. The building is three storeys in height. The ground floor is occupied with a preaching-room, mothers' meeting - room, and the upper floor is devoted entirely to Sunday-school purposes and is made to accommodate 500 scholars. The architects are Messrs. Mangnall and Littlewood, of Manchester, and the contractors Messrs. Peace and Norwood. The estimated cost of the land, building, and furnishing is £2,200.
