POST OFFICE —The Postmaster General has taken a long lease of the premises now occupied by Mr J. Eddowes and Messrs Niven and Jones in Broad Street (Welshpool). Extensive structural alterations from plans prepared by Mr Shayler will be made to meet the necessary postal requirements of the town and district, and the new offices will be both commodious and convenient. It is expected that the new premises will be entered before next Lady-day. [Montgomery County Times 3 September 1898 page 5]

TO BUILDERS. NEW POST OFFICE PREMISES. PERSONS wishing to TENDER for certain alterations to No. 31, Broad Street, Welshpool, for Mr John Eddowes, are requested to submit their names to the Architect, FRANK H. SHAYLER, Welshpool. [Montgomery County Times 3 December 1898 page 1]

THE NEW POST OFFICE - The business of the Post Office has so much increased that the Post Office authorities removed the business on Monday to the premises of Mr J Eddowes, Broad Street, which have been modernised and improved.
