LOOSE BOXES AND RIDING SCHOOL, DELAMERE - These steeplechase stables are erected at a racing establishment on Delamere Forest for Major Walker. The riding school and boxes are for steeplechases, and the boxes in the paddock for brood mares. They are all movable building done in black-and-white work, that is to say, the walls are of timber framing with pale buff panels, and with the roofing of red tiles, look very well against the pine woods behind. The walls are covered inside with two thicknesses of boards with felt between. The roof to the riding school is erected and glazed by Messrs. W. H. Heywood and Company. The manger fittings, etc., are by Musgrave and Company, and the ventilators are by Kite and Company. The contractors are Messrs. Beckett and Company, of Hartford.
