St Edward's Mission Schools Castleton

The schools which are in the parish of St Martin, Castleton, have been erected from plans prepared by Mr Henry Lord of Manchester, They are a handsome block of buildings of red brick with stone dressings and will cost upwards of £3,000.  ..... The new schools which will be used for church services on Sundays will provide about 360 extra school places in the district. Dr Moorhouse, Bishop of Manchester attended the benediction service.
