St Peter's Wesleyan Chapel, Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe
A mission and Sunday school was built in Black Lane in 1882, followed by the St Paul's church in 1901. The associated day school was built in 1886. It formed part of Bury Wesleyan Methodist Circuit until 1889, then became part of the new Radcliffe Wesleyan Circuit. In 1963, St. Paul's amalgamated with the former churches at Ainsworth Road and Bolton Road to form the new Wesley church, based at the former St. Paul's premises.
RADCLIFFE - The Wesleyans of Radcliffe are about to proceed with the erection of a new church, for which an eligible site has been secured. The projected structure will be known as St. Paul's Wesleyan Church and will be built from designs prepared by Mr John B. Thornley, architect, Darwen.
