Tramway Offices and Baths Liverpool (Architectural Competition)

This bold and telling design was submitted in the recent competition which ended badly for the competitors as it only resulted in discovering for the committee what they really did and did not want. [British Architect 19 June 1903 Page 438 and illustration]

The proposed site occupied a prominent position on the Pier-head and was bounded by Brunswick Street, Water Street and the River Front adjacent to Dock Office. The Cunard Building was later built on the site.
