About March 1869 Leigh Hall took Jonas James Bradshaw into partnership. By August he was terminally ill, dying on 11 October 1869. J J Bradshaw completed the schemes in hand including Preston Fever Hospital (under construction) Chorley Workhouse (foundations laid) and Clitheroe workhouse, still at the design stage.
